In the early '80's I ran across an artisan in a mall at Christmas who was making and selling keyfobs which he cut from basswood
on a scroll saw. Bought one for a girlfriend for Christmas. About 30 years later I ran into her again and asked about
the key fob. She immediately held up her keyring and showed me the broken key fob. But after 30 years, she still had the key fob.
Finally dawned on me that girls LIKE little gifts like this, and I resolved to make lots more myself.
