Bearing Block bored...

This is the first bearing block I've bored for the driver axle on a 1/8 scale steam locomotive. The block was carved from a big blob of cast iron. This was all carved using an end mill, when I should have been using a fly cutter for most of it.

The blocks were machined several years ago, but only found a used Sherline lathe recently. These blocks were too big to bore on the ancient Unimat lathe, which has been in the family for over 50 years.
